Cork Airport has appointed Yvonne O’Rourke as Head of Human Resources. Yvonne will lead the HR function for Cork Airport and will play a key role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Cork Airport’s Managing Director Niall MacCarthy said: “We are delighted and very excited to welcome Yvonne to Cork Airport. With nearly fifteen years’ experience in HR within the Cork region with international companies, I am sure that Yvonne will bring a host of knowledge and strategic innovation to the role.”
“As an award-winning international airport for customer service, HR plays a key role in building and developing the exceptional team and resources we have at Cork Airport. We are confident that Yvonne will help us grow and develop our people into the future”, he added.
As well as holding Senior Management HR roles, Yvonne also lectures part-time in HR at University College Cork. She holds a Master’s Degree in HR Leadership from Sheffield Hallam University in conjunction with UCC.
Having commenced her career in finance, before moving exclusively to human resources, Yvonne is a Chartered member of the CIPD, a qualified member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA) and a qualified member of the Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland (IATI).
