On November 24th to 26th 2017, The Cork Chocolate Festival & Baking World in association with La Rousse Foods will take place at The Cork International Hotel.
The festival which is the only of its kind in Ireland will see the hotel feature Irelands’ best chocolatiers who will be showcasing and selling their chocolate and also hosting a variety of workshops including, a workshop on how chocolate is made with Allison from The Exploding Bean. There will be a host of other well-known producers including, Milsean, The Truffle Fairy, Murrays of Galway, Clonakilty Chocolates and Bantry Bay Chocolates to name but a few.
Paul Kelly, Judge of the Great Irish Bake Off and Michelin trained Pastry Chef will be at the Cork Chocolate Festival to do a Chocolate Cookery Demonstration and also to create the dessert for the much anticipated Chocolate Themed Dinner that will take place on Saturday 25th November 2017.
There is a full schedule of events for the weekend, catering for all age profiles. There will be a Children’s Zone in the early part of the day and as the afternoon progresses, the focus will be aimed towards to adult market with Coffee & Chocolate Pairing with Kinsale Roasters and also Wine & Chocolate Pairing with Classic Drinks.
In the lead up to the event, The Cork International Hotel have a Golden Ticket to be found and the lucky winner will win a VIP Platinum Package for Two to attend the Cork Chocolate Festival. The prize worth almost €500 will include a Chilled Bottle of Prosecco with Chocolate Dipped Strawberries in the deluxe bedroom on arrival on the Friday of the Festival. They will then attend a Wine & Chocolate Masterclass that evening with Classic Drinks. The will have VIP access to the exhibition area for the Saturday and the Sunday with seated tickets to the Paul Kelly cookery demonstration. On the Saturday evening, they will attend the Chocolate Dinner which will begin with a Sparkling Reception followed by a delicious dinner cooked by some of Corks Best Chefs where each course will feature Cocoa. The lucky winner will enjoy 2 night’s in a Deluxe Room with a luxury breakfast on both mornings.
The Golden Ticket search will take place each Sunday at the Cork International Hotel, beginning on Sunday 15th October 2017 and will run for 4 weeks until Sunday 5th November 2017. Each table that dines at the Sunday Buffet Lunch at the Atlantic Restaurant will get to pick an envelope from the prize draw drum during lunch. Every Sunday during these 4 Sundays, there will be a Golden Ticket finalist envelope in the drum. When the 4 Golden Tickets have been drawn, we will have a final draw on Sunday 12th November 2017, where will be giving away the VIP Platinum Package to the lucky winner.
