The 11th Dragon of Shandon Samhain Parade will take place on 31st October 2017 in the streets of Cork City.
Last year the group had their biggest parade to date with over 500 participants. 15,000 spectators lined the streets in Shandon dressed in Halloween themed creations “and an electric air of community carnival reigned on the streets”.
Cork Community Art Link are looking for volunteers interested in craft, making, building, painting, face-painting, costume but also people wanting to help out on the day of the event.
Their workshop is located at 71 Watercourse road in Blackpool and is open every week day in the morning 10am-12 for costume and from 2-6 “for all the rest”.
People interested to get involved can get in touch at info@corkcommunityartlink.com, or check the event website at www.dragonofshandon.com
