As part of UCC’s Community Engagement Week 2017 the Philosophy Department will hold a public discussion on the topic of Flood Defence. Invited speakers will include Dr. Cara Nine (UCC Philosophy. Internationally recognised expert on the ethics/politics of rivers), Dr. Orla O’Donovan (UCC Applied Social Studies), Robert Devoy (UCC Geography, author of the Atlas of Cork) and John Hegarty (Architect, member of Save Cork City).
