The Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr. Declan Hurley has launched Cork County Council’s new mobile library for West Cork. The launch took place at the Parkway Hotel, Dunmanway.
The new West Cork Mobile Library will replace the well-known, 14 year old vehicle that has visited nearly every locality in rural West Cork at some point over the years! The County Council says investment in the new vehicle will ensure “continuity of this valuable, socially inclusive service to the people of rural West Cork, from the furthest reaches of the Beara peninsula to east as far as the Galley Head.”
