100% of the proceeds of the Twilight Walk at Fota on the 27th July are donated to the charity –
organisers
Fota Wildlife Park director, Sean McKeown has presented a cheque for €11,422.30 to the Chair of BUMBLEance’s Cork Committee, Scott MacKeown. The proceeds were raised from the Twilight Walk held the 27th July through the iconic Wildlife Park to help raise money in support of BUMBLEance the Children’s National Ambulance Service.
Speaking at the presentation of the cheque Sean McKeown, director of Fota Wildlife Park said “We were delighted to be able to reopen our gates on the evening of the 27th July. It proved to be a very special and magical evening here in the Park, and was staffed by volunteers who give their time up freely on the night, which meant we could donate all the monies raised to this wonderful children’s charity.”
Speaking at the Fota Wildlife Park, Twilight Walk cheque presentation, Chair of the Cork Committee, Scott MacKeown said: ‘We are extremely grateful to Fota Wildlife Park for so generously donating their incredible facility for the Twilight Walk on behalf of BUMBLEance. The event was a phenomenal success with over 1,500 people taking part in this very special evening event. We would like to express our warmest thanks to all our amazing supporters and volunteers, as well as the team and staff at Fota Wildlife Park, who so kindly gave up their time in support of BUMBLEance. All the funds raised will go directly towards a new Southern Region BUMBLEette Service which will be based out of Cork. This will enable us to provide vital assistance to even more critically and seriously ill children throughout Cork City and County.’
