St. Matthias COI Church in Ballydehob, West Cork will be ablaze with colour this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 19th & 20th August, when it hosts a floral festival to celebrate the reopening of the church following extensive repairs to the roof and internal structures carried out over the past few months.
Open from 11 am until 7 pm each day, the festival will mirror a similar event held some 13 years ago to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the church and is expected to feature some 30 displays by flower and garden clubs from across Co. Cork, with the particular involvement of clubs from West Cork.
