This year’s Ballincollig Business Association (BBA) Annual Golf Classic is taking place on Thursday, 14th September. The event will take place at the Lee Valley Golf and Country Club.
All proceeds from this year’s event will be used to set up a specific Town Development Fund, which will be used to invest in a new festive light system. Teams of three will tee off from 8:30am and the competition will run throughout the day. The cost of entry for a team is €190, which includes dinner and a special event goodie bag.
Emer Cassidy, Chairperson of the BBA said: “We’re really looking forward to this year’s golf classic, which is shaping up to be the biggest and best one we’ve had. The organising committee has worked hard to put together a fantastic day’s programme that includes a great day’s golf as well as a few surprises in there as well. There will be golf clinics and playing tips from the Cork Golf Centre coaching team in Ballincollig, Par 3 Beat the Pro with Ian Stafford Golf Coaching, plenty of prizes on the day and we’re also expecting some well known faces to turn up and play a round.
“All of the money raised from the golf classic is going to be used to establish a fund that will be used for different projects to better the town. The first of these is investing in new Christmas lights, and with the help of Cork County Council, we will hopefully have Ballincollig looking even more festive this year”.
There are still places left for teams to enter and anyone interested should contact the BBA at admin@ballincollig.ie or 086 055 1911.
