The Cork Foundation, a philanthropic, not-for-profit fund have announced the appointment of Laura Hallissey as Marketing and Diaspora Assistant to the team.
Laura will assist with the marketing and digital needs of Cork Foundation as well as delivering on the Diaspora strategy with Cork County Council and engaging with community groups. Prior to this Laura worked as a PA Administrator for Age Action’s Getting Started Programme.
Laura holds an MA in English and a BA in Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences from UCC as well as a Diploma in Media and Radio Broadcasting.
The Cork Foundation’s main focus is to connect donors with social entrepreneurs and voluntary & community organisations in Cork in need of funding in order to create and retain jobs in the region. Along with prompting positive social change in local communities, the Foundation also inspires Cork people, living both in Ireland and abroad, to stay connected to their home county.
