Cork City WFC return to Continental Tyres Women’s National League action after the summer break as they travel to Greenogue to face the current league leaders Peamount United today with a 6pm kick off. City who have had a four week break since their 5-0 win over Kilkenny in the Continental Tyre’s Women’s League Cup Competition suffered a narrow loss against Peamount in their previous game losing 2-1 at Bishopstown in April. Cork City WFC manager Frank Kelleher looking forward to Saturday’s game and a return to league action; “Good to be back in action this weekend after a 4 week break. Had a very tight game against Peamount earlier in the season. They are top at the moment after a series of good results. It should be a very competitive fixture and we are looking
forward to it. We have been continuing to work with the squad on key areas and training intensity has been at the right level in recent weeks.”
