The ASSERT Centre, University College Cork allows medicla professionals to practice procedures in a safe demo environment.
The ASSERT mission statement is to: “decrease medical error, and improve patient care, by enabling health professionals and trainees to engage in the deliberate practice of skills to predefined proficiency standards in simulated clinical settings”
Today ASSERT welcomed forieng experts to inspect its facilities. They included Dr Rob Crossley (Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist at University Hospital Southampton), Mr Mark Schembri (Trainee INR), Professor Thomas Liebig (Head of Department – Institute of Neuroradiology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin)
