A healthy food deli called Freshly Chopped has today announced the opening of a counter in Little Island, Cork. Freshly Chopped Little Island will be followed by a second Cork outlet later in the year. As a promotion Freshly Chopped will serve free salads in its Little Island outlet from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday the 27th of June.
The store will open at Spar in Eastgate Business Park. The new store will create 15 jobs and follows newly opened Freshly Chopped outlets in Galway and the first Northern Irish Freshly Chopped in Tannaghmore, Co. Antrim.

Brian Lee said: “We will be opening a second Freshly Chopped outlet in Cork City Centre later this year and are also in talks with other potential franchisees for additional Cork stores. Cork will be a vital location for Freshly Chopped’s expansion over the next number of years as we continue our rollout across the country.”
Speaking at the announcement of the new outlet, Freshly Chopped franchisee Shane Cantillon of The Cantillon Group said: “…Healthy eating is the future and Freshly Chopped is leading this revolution. Freshly Chopped provides healthy meal options and we’re looking forward to providing everyone who comes through our doors with the ultimate Freshly Chopped experience of high quality, healthy food.”
The new outlet will feature Freshly Chopped’s new store design and menu. The new menu features nine new salads including Super Food Chicken, Hot Oak Smoked Salmon and Lebanese Falafel. There are also new ingredients, including Power Grains, Guindilla Peppers and Mozzarella Balls and new dressings, including Rebel Chilli and Oriental.
