The fourth National Conference for Healthcare Assistants will be held in Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork on Friday 23rd June 2017.
The topic for this year is “Embracing the Heart of Neurology”. Topics on the day include –Motor Neurone Disease, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and speakers include multidisciplinary healthcare staff such as Doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists & Occupational Therapists.
The conference is designed for healthcare assistants who would like to gain more knowledge and skills in caring for people with neurological conditions.
Speaking about the conference, Gerardine Lynch, Director of Education with Marymount said: “Marymount University Hospital & Hospice were the first in Ireland to provide a specific national conference for Health Care Assistants. The conferences have been hugely successful and we are looking forward to our fourth conference and to meeting with the healthcare assistant delegates”
