Former Labour Party TD for Cork South-West, Michael McCarthy has welcomed the opening of Dunmanway Swimming Pool
“I have championed this issue for many years, especially at national level and I am delighted that this day has finally arrived.
“The proposals for the new pool were developed some time ago and it is good to see these plans finally being brought to fruition.
“The new pool is an exciting development for Dunmanway, which hasa been a long time coming. There is no doubt that this development will provide a huge boost for our local community as well as a huge attraction to the town.”
Michael McCarthy was a Labour TD in Cork South West, he lost his seat in the 2016 General Election, when Labour was decimated throughout Ireland
