Fastnet – The Talent Group – has launched a new division to service the role of talent management within multinational and indigenous companies in Ireland. The establishment of the division is a response to the ever-increasing challenge for companies not just to attract, but to keep valued employees.
Speaking at the launch, newly appointed Director of Talent & Transformation at Fastnet – The Talent Group, Dave Barry said:
“Ensuring that employees are hired, managed, developed, engaged and retained in the best possible ways will have positive knock-on impacts for every aspect of the business including performance, productivity and ultimately profitability. We have established the Talent & Transformation division to partner with companies so that they can perform better and are more successful in the future.”
Niamh O’Driscoll, Managing Director of Fastnet said:
“This new Talent & Transformation division is reflective of our firm’s strategic focus and consultative approach to our work on behalf of our clients. We are ahead of the curve in bringing this talent management focus to the Irish market, and we have already seen firsthand both the strategic requirements and positive results of talent management for businesses”
What is Talent Management?
Talent & Transformation is a relatively new concept in Ireland, but is already having significant impact in the UK and USA. According to McKinsey and CIPD 2016, a one-point shift in the quality of management practices had the same impact on productivity as a 25% increase in labour employed and a 65% increase in capital investment.
What is Fastnet?
Founded in 1999, privately-owned Fastnet is based in Cork. The firm announced a nationwide expansion last year, opening new offices in Dublin, and an international partnership with IRC Global Executive Search Partners, which gives the firm partners in 80 cities across 6 continents.
