The pre-Christmas St Vincent de Paul Car Draw raised almost €110,000 for individuals and families struggling to get by from day to day. SVP Cork helped 5,000 families in 2016 alone
SVP extended their gratitude to all of those who supported this year’s draw “The money raised through the draw will help us in SVP to assist many families and individuals over the coming months”
Kathleen O’Shea from Glengarriff, Co. Cork was the lucky winner and received the keys of her new Ford Focus from Conor Cavanagh of CAB Motor Company this month. CAB generously donated a car for the fourth year running.
Lord Mayor of Cork City Cllr Des Cahill was on hand at the presentation at the CAB showroom on Monaghan Road to congratulate the winner on her good fortune and to join in thanking all who bought tickets and made donations.
