Basketball is an integral part of Cork’s sporting history, with most clubs centered on the Northside of the City
Blue Demons Basketball Club have signed a new sponsorship deal with Gurranabraher Credit Union.
“Gurranabraher Credit Union is delighted to be sponsoring the UCC Demons Super League team, as well as the Youth Academy,” said Michael O Connell, Chair of Gurranabraher Credit Union.
“We have a long tradition of promoting and supporting basketball in our community since our foundation in 1963. “Basketball is a pillar of the sporting tradition on the northside and we hope our new partnership with the UCC Demons Super League team and Blue Demons Youth Academy will help further to promote the game. This focus fits perfectly with Gurranabraher Credit Unions mission of reaching out to young people on the importance of financial responsibility. We would like to wish all the teams the very best in their upcoming games in the coming months”.
Jim Dineen, Blue Demons chairperson said “The youth academy is the heartbeat of our club and our partnership with Gurranabraher Credit Union will assist Blue Demons greatly in the development of young basketball players and the continuing success of the UCC Demons Super League team in the future,”

UCC Demons Super League team have an important game on January 29th against Templeogue at the Mardyke Arena 3pm.
Gurranabraher Credit Union will be planning events and competitions and events in the week leading up to the game.
