Bellini’s Restaurant at Cork’s Maryborough Hotel and Spa, Douglas, has recently been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the high standards of the food it provides and its dedication to the use of quality ingredients.
To be eligible to receive 2 AA Rosettes restaurants are required to demonstrate a desire to achieve higher standards, better consistency and where a greater precision in cooking has been clearly demonstrated. Furthermore, significant emphasis is placed by AA inspectors on the produce used by restaurants, as an obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients is required to receive the award. In total approximately 40% of restaurants listed in the AA Restaurant Guide will have Two Rosettes.
Speaking about the award, Mary Bernard of the Maryborough Hotel and Spa said, “It’s a sense of achievement on our 20th year of business. Credit is due to the chef and all the team who are committed to the quality and service that we pride ourselves on since we opened 1997”
Among the highlights of the AA’s Secret Hotel Inspector’s visit to The Maryborough Hotel and Bellini’s Restaurant were the warm atmosphere, exceptional service and the ever-improving food standards.
“A visit to The Maryborough is always a pleasure, and this one was no exception. A fine balance between formality and friendliness has been achieved, together with an honest approach form all.
The challenge now will be to retain this into the future. Physically the property has always performed well, and thanks to ongoing input it continues to do so. ”
In addition to this new award for Bellini’s Restaurant, Maryborough Hotel will retain it’s 4 Star rating from the AA and see it’s Merit Score increase to 81%.
