The Park Road Day Care Centre, Cobh, will hold their annual Open Day fundraising event next Saturday, June 11th, from 2 to 5pm.
Park Road Day Care facility aims to promote the physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being of the senior citizens of Cobh, Carrigtwohill and the surrounding areas. “We provide nursing intervention, respite for carers and fun and laughter in large measure for our daily guests.” said a spokeswoman.
The annual Open Day is the main fund-raising effort of the year for the Park Road Centre. All the monies raised on the day will come directly back to the centre and support the subsidised activities of the elder guests, such as day outings, Christmas and Easter parties for the clients and other special events.
There will be a range of activities at the Open Day, including a Prize Auction, cake and bric-a-brac stalls and afternoon tea, along with a mini-disco, face painting and a clown to entertain the children.
All are welcome and we look forward to the continuing support of the people of Cobh, Carrigtwohill and surrounding areas. The Park Road Centre is located at Park Road, close to Cobh town centre, and is behind Cobh Community Hospital.
