An extensive flower-planting programme is planned for Main Street, Carrigaline. Three tiered planters have been placed by the AIB and the Bridge, flower boxes are erected on the fencing of the Old Pottery site, many more boxes will be erected on the bridge which has been cleaned and looking well. All shopkeepers and businesses are asked to make an effort to brighten up their area of Carrigaline.
Volunteers are doing a wonderful job litter picking at various locations around the town at a time that suits themselves.
The County Litter challenge has started this week and organized work teams meet at the Owenabue Car Park at 7.30pm Wednesdays and 11am on Saturdays. Clubs are doing the approach roads in their own good time. Don’t forget the one minute litter pick every day, every little helps.
