St Lappans Church in Little Island is the Church of Ireland place of worship in Little Island and will celebrate its 150th Anniversary this year.
Much has changed since it was built. In living memory it was surrounded by fields, but now industrial estates throb with economic activity just minutes from it’s altar.
To commemorate the anniversary a beautiful original painting of the Church has been created by parishioner Walter Stansfeld, and a limited edition series of prints are being made available from the original painting. T
here will only ever be 150 limited edition reproductions and each is signed by the artist Walter Stansfeld. Each will be numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity & Ownership which will bear the name of the owner and the edition number. Number 1 of the collection will be presented to Dr. Paul Colton, Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross when he attends the 150th celebrations in Little Island in May.
The beautiful collection of 150 limited edition prints is a fundraising project for St Lappans Church.
Each of the pieces is beautifully double mounted and framed by Cork craftspeople and are available at €150 each and will be delivered to you locally.
This fundraising project is being assisted and co-ordinated by Little Island Business Association and to purchase one of the limited edition prints, you can email info@liba.ie or call 087 7768580.
