BoyleSports reports further support for Fianna Fáil’s Micheál Martin to become the next Taoiseach.
Having been available at 11/2 over the weekend continuous support has seen his odds slashed into 7/4 with Fine Gael’s Enda Kenny remaining favourite at 4/9 having drifted from 1/10.
BoyleSports can also report further support for there to be another general election in 2016 with the odds of us going to the polling stations before the end of the year now 11/10 from 7/4. It’s 4/6 that we won’t have to cast our votes again before the end of the year.
Liam Glynn, BoyleSports’ spokesperson said: “Punters have latched onto Micheál Martin becoming the next Taoiseach following a poll on Claire Byrne Live that saw 37% want the county Cork native to become Taoiseach. Having been as big as 12/1 early last week, Martin is now a large loser for the firm.”
He added “We initially installed another general election to take place in 2016 at 11/2. Judging by the demand for this to happen, the current price of 7/4 will not be around for long.”
