Gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding an incident in Cobh, Co. Cork on the 27th December 2015.
At approximately 2.15am a 24-year-old male sustained head injuries during an altercation involving small number of people on High Road, Cobh. The man was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where he is continuing to undergo treatment. (His condition is understood to be serious.)
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, and in particular anyone who was in the vicinity of High Road, Cobh between 2.00am and 2.30am to contact them at Cobh Garda Station on 021-490853 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
