A man in his sixties who had be reported missing overnight in Sprat Hill near Bantry, Co Cork, has been located safe and well. The Shannon based Coast Guard Helicopter, Rescue 115, and local Coast Guard units assisted Bantry Gardaí with a search operation that commenced last evening.
The man was spotted by the Coast Guard helicopter shortly before nine o clock this morning and has been transferred by helicopter to an ambulance at Bantry airfield. Coast Guard units from Goleen , Castletownbere and Toe Head assisted Gardaí with the search that recommenced at first light this morning.
