Have you ever thought about volunteering abroad?
Yesterday marked the launch of EIL Explore, a programme organised and funded by EIL Intercultural Learning that provides over 30 awards to Irish residents interested in volunteering, cultural immersion, or language education abroad.
The launch took place at the Cork Airport and was introduced by previous award winner, former board member and Web Summit co-founder Daire Hickey, who said:
“My involvement with EIL has taught me so much, it is a great honour for me to launch this programme which will support 34 individuals to go through amazing, challenging and potentially life changing experience”.
Whether it’s eco-tourism in Mexico or a high school exchange in Japan, EIL Explore offers a variety of diverse experiences all over the world for participants to travel, learn, and change — both on a personal level and within their community upon their return.
Applications for EIL Explore 2016 are now open until February 9th 2016. For more information on EIL EXPLORE and how to apply visit www.eilexplore.ie or contact EIL at 021 4551535 / info@eilexplore.ie
