The Tánaiste and Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton, T.D. officially opened two new Department of Social Protection Intreo Centres in Cork city on Friday.
The Intreo Centres are located at George’s Quay (in Abbey Court House), and Hanover Street (in what is colloquially known as the dole office).

Each Intreo Centre is a “one-stop shop” where jobseekers living in Cork can access income and employment supports in the one place. The staff working in the Centres will provide a personalised employment advice, guidance and support service which is targeted to the individual needs of the social welfare customer.
