A number of basketball events have been cancelled today due to the ongoing effects of Storm Desmond.
At present five games have been postponed. Unsafe travel conditions in Cork, Kerry and Galway have forced the cancellation of the following fixtures (see brackets for refixed times):
Hula Hoops Senior Women’s National Cup Quarter Finals
NUIG Mystics v Meteors BC, Calasanctius College Oranmore, Galway, 18:00
Ulster Rockets v Team Garveys Tralee, Methodist College, Belfast, 15:00
Hula Hoops U18 Men’s National Cup Quarter Finals
Maree BC v Tralee Imperials BC, Calasanctius College Oranmore, Galway, 15:30
The following games will also not be taking place as scheduled:
Hula Hoops Women’s National Cup Quarter Finals:
Team Montenotte Hotel v Singleton’s Supervalu Brunell, Neptune Stadium, Cork, 17:00
(This will go ahead, but it’s been moved to the Parochial Hall at 6pm)
Hula Hoops President’s National Cup Quarter Finals:
Fr Mathews v BFG Neptune, Neptune Stadium, Cork, 19:30
(has been pushed back to 8pm at Parochial Hall)
