Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune has welcomed a group of visitors from Cork to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The group met with Irish MEPs and EU Agricultural Commissioner Phil Hogan before watching a live session of the European Parliament.
Commenting on the visit, Deirdre Clune said it is important that Irish people see how the European Parliament works.
“There is a lot of legislation coming through the Parliament that directly impacts on Ireland, on our business and agricultural sectors. I was delighted to welcome these groups to Strasbourg. Despite the heavy security checks, I think the groups largely enjoyed themselves.
