The Cork Business Association welcomes today’s news from CBRE Ireland’s Bi-Annual report on the Irish Retail Sector which highlights 2015 as a year of recovery and growth for the sector.
A spokesperson for the CBA told TheCork.ie:
“We are delighted to see that their is some growth in retail sales and continuing improvement in consumer confidence. But more importantly from a Cork City centre perspective we welcome the news that vacancy rates are continuing to decline. It is really encouraging to see that Cork has shown the most significant improvement in vacancy rates over the period reducing by 12.9% to stand at 6.6% at the end of Q3 2015. This is very positive news and is a further confidence boost to the retail trade in the run up to the peak Christmas trading period”.
