Following on from her sell-out Christmas show last year at the St Peter’s Church, this year’s event, on Sunday, December 6, is even bigger, with more international stars on stage, joining Ireland’s Bella Voce, who has chosen the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as her charity to benefit from the two shows.
This year’s special international guest will be Placido Domingo Junior, making his first visit to Ireland, the City of Cork Symphony Orchestra, concert pianist David Syme and the master of ceremony at the fun-filled music extravaganza will be Ronan Collins of RTÉ.
“This is going to be a fantastic, exciting concert with a classical — traditional and Latin twist to it,” Amanda Neri said.
“Placido Domingo Jr. is looking forward to making his first visit to Ireland, especially Cork City and I too am looking forward to the public’s response to him.
“Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural sold-out concert in St Peter’s Church, we needed to find a bigger venue this year and I am thrilled that this year’s show will take place in the City Hall.
“What a fantastic venue, full of tradition and aura for me to perform in with Placido Domigo Junior, David Syme and the City of Cork Symphony Orchestra.
“If you can only attend one event this holiday season, this is the one for you to attend and tickets will make a great present for the loved ones in your life, be it your partner, or mother and father or for the business a wonderful evening or afternoon to enjoy with colleagues or employees.
“Last year’s event sold out very quickly, so my advice to those wanting to go is to get their tickets as soon as possible or risk being disappointed.
“It will be an inspiring and uplifting afternoon — evening of passionate, soaring melodies that will romance with stunning, engaging and spellbinding music.”
There are two shows on the day with the matinee starting at 2pm and the Gala VIP concert starting at 8pm.
There is a VIP reception at 6.30pm ahead of the night time concert.
Tickets for the event, which is backed by the Cork Chamber of Commerce, are priced at Matineé €45 & €55 and Gala VIP Concert €65 & €75 and can be purchased on online at http://www.amandaneri.com, or from Pro Musica, Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork.
