Half a century on from opening the school, it’s party time. Christ King Secondary School (South Douglas Road, Cork) marks 50 years of education this year. To celebrate this milestone, the school have organised a wonderful 50th Anniversary Show. The school also celebrates its 25th successive annual production. This considerable achievement is down to the hard work and dedication of the teachers who make up the show team, and of the course the many talented music students who have passed through the school.
This marvelous night of song and dance includes 1st year music classes performing a scene from the famous musical “Annie”.
This is followed by a show from special guests The Attridge Academy of Dance, and then 2nd year music students will perform a scene from “Whistle Down the Wind.”
The main feature is the musical “Me and My Girl” presented by all transition year students.
The show runs for two nights Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st at the Firkin Crane Theatre, Shandon.
Performances start each evening at 7.30pm sharp.
Tickets are available from the school at break times from Friday 13th November.
