The Lord Mayor of Cork City will meet with players, management and backroom staff in advance of Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup decider.
Cork City FC will take on Dundalk FC in the 2015 Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Final at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 8th at 3.30pm. Thanks to Danny Morrissey’s second half goal against Bray Wanderers, they booked their place in this FAI Cup decider with arch rivals Dundalk. The Cork City side, with Dan Murray outstanding in front of the back four, held firm against Bray and deservedly progressed to their first FAI Cup final in eight years.
It means that the Aviva Stadium showpiece on November 8th will feature the top two teams in the country and offer Cork City FC a chance for revenge after losing their final day decider in the league twelve months ago.
The Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Chris O’Leary will wish the Cork City FC players, management and backroom staff the very best as he meets with members of the Team on the lawn of City Hall on Monday evening next 2nd November at 6.30 p.m. The City Hall and Civic Offices have been illuminated in Green in the run up to the big final, to reflect the city’s solidarity with the Team.
This is a great opportunity for members of the public to show their support for the Team….so do come along to City Hall on next Monday and grab some photographs of the Lord Mayor and the lads.
