Cork City Women’s F.C. have announced a sponsorship partnership with Just Cuts For Ladies, part of the Jeff Devine Hair Group.
The Agreement was launched at Just Cuts for Ladies store in Wilton Shopping centre where owner Jeff Devine met with Cork City W.F.C. players Saoirse Noonan, Barbara O’Connell, Stacey Paul, manager Niall O’Regan, board member Norman Pratt & Chairman Chris O’Mahony in launching the partnership. Helping the club launch was Evening Echo Sports Editor John McHale along with Joe Seward, Life FM and sports photographer Doug Minihane.
The club will link-up with the Wilton based Salon for the 2015-2016 season which will see the Just Cuts for Ladies logo being present on Cork City’s jersey for the season as well as additional promotions throughout the year.
Speaking at the launch of the agreement, Jeff Devine had this to say “I was approached by Norman Pratt about coming on board to support our local team to help them progress in the league and gain support in the area. It was something we were delighted to come on board with because of it’s links to the community – we feel we’re at the heart of Wilton, which in itself is central to Bishopstown so it’s an appropriate fit. We’ll be expanding with a new salon opening in the next few months and it’s great to have two brands coming together in Cork like this. I’ve worked with ladies my whole life helping to style and make them look good so it’s a perfect match for us.”
Chris O’Mahony, the Cork City W.F.C. chairman commenting on the deal said “We’re delighted to have Jeff come on board with the club – he’s been a keen supporter of several local efforts in Cork and provided an excellent business to not only Wilton but the whole City. We feel the Group will become key partners with the club and we can’t wait to go forward throughout the season now working together in the community. It’s very important to see local businesses and local clubs moving together to better improve the local area and to help Cork as a whole – and we know it will be a fruitful venture.”
Cork City W.F.C. play against UCD Waves this coming Sunday 1st November, at 2pm in Bishopstown Stadium in their second game of the Continental Tyres Women’s National League. Speaking ahead of the game, Stacey Paul said “We’re pumped up to get into this game, the training the last couple of weeks has been excellent and we’re just looking forward to hopefully getting something from the game on Sunday. This year we have great training at the moment, a new sponsor on board, some new players and when everything gels together we think we can have a great season.”
