Cork-based investments firm, BlackBee Investments is to create an additional 5 jobs in the next 12 months, having doubled in size since its establishment in 2014. The company, which celebrated the official opening of its Cork offices this week, has grown from 6 to 14 employees in one year and is projecting further strong growth in 2015.
“This sustained, positive growth at BlackBee Investments is evidence that our innovative approach to investment funds, as well as our results-driven client focus, is matching market needs,” said David O’ Shea, Chief Executive at BlackBee Investments. “We will continue to challenge the norm, create new opportunities and develop our investment portfolio to match the economic upturn and market trends. We are delighted to be creating jobs in Cork and Dublin and providing a rewarding place to work for our employees.”
BlackBee Investments counts as its board members former economist Pat McArdle, former Silex Chairman Brendan Slein, financial services entrepreneur and sports commentator Donal Lenihan and Paul Coburn.
The investments firm, which has assets of over €50 million, recently opened a Dublin office to complement the activities of the Cork headquarters, and to meet market demands nationally. BlackBee Investments currently works with a number of institutional investors as well as brokers, financial services companies and private clients. As well as asset servicing, BlackBee Investments also builds and develops proprietary fund solutions in various markets from commodities to bonds.
