A public meeting of the Cork City Joint Policing Committee to discuss the issue of drugs will take place on Monday 18th May at 2pm in the Millennium Hall, City Hall.
This is an open meeting of the JPC that will look at the issues of drug and substance abuse in the City with a view to the naming the concerns around the issues and to feed into planning for the Joint Policing Committee.
Cllr. Chris O’Leary, chair of the Cork City JPC, will chair the meeting, which will entail a number of keynote speakers to the topic, followed by break out groups where people will be facilitated to give their views on two questions:
What are the underlying issues? and How might they be addressed?
A plenary session with an expert panel will also take place to address raised in feedback from the groups.
