Youghal, East Cork, and its unique heritage will feature in a dedicated episode of Nationwide to be shown on RTE 1 tonight at 7.00pm.
A film crew, fronted by Anne Cassin was in the town recently to showcase all the positive developments which have taken place in Youghal in recent years. It will show the progress of the renovation of the Clockgate Tower, the magnificent Medieval Town Wall, a visit to St Mary’s Collegiate Church along with details of the reinstatement of Youghal’s Eco-Boardwalk.
The programme will include an interview with local man John McGrath and his memories of life in the Clockgate Tower, together with many local contributors such as Town Crier, Cliff Winser, Mark Golden, President of Youghal Chamber of Tourism & Development among others.
