Visiting restrictions at Cork’s Mercy University Hospital (MUH), Cork have been lifted and normal visiting arrangements have fully resumed.
The management at the hospital have praised staff for dealing effectively with the recent cases of influenza and have also sincerely thanked the public for their cooperation with the visiting restrictions. The hospital acknowledges the difficulties experienced by patients and their families during this time.
The hospital continues to monitor the situation and people with flu-like symptoms are still being advised to telephone or visit their GPs, in the first instance, rather than presenting at the hospital’s Emergency Department.
