Helen Kuyper of 24/7 Storytelling, a world leader in building
persuasive and memorable stories, will host 2 workshops in the art of
storytelling in Cork in February.
The way you tell a business story is very different, and should be,
from the way you tell a story at a party. However similar techniques
for success apply. Helen Kuyper will teach the fundamentals of
storytelling and how to tell a story that people never forget, making
a significant difference.
Speaking about the workshops Helen Kuyper said, “I’m delighted to be
coming to Cork with the support of the Smarter Egg team. We hear
about storytelling everywhere and although we may know about stories,
many of us are wondering how they relate to our work. If you run a
company, lead a team, an organisation, or a project, if you’re in the
business of selling or marketing a product or service, or if you just
need to influence people, then this training will significantly
enhance your capability to succeed. During the training, all aspects
of storytelling will take centre stage. From the basic structure of a
great story to the concrete tools necessary to position your stories
and those of your organisation to yield results. And off course there
will be plenty of stories to inspire you along with a new and
supportive network of fellow storytellers”.
Helen is a born storyteller and won’t let a moment pass to tell a
great story. Growing up in the Netherlands with a Dutch father and
Irish mother, Helen is able to combine the best of both worlds; the
power of a great story combined with the relevant facts.
As a Story Junkie and through her business 24/7 Storytelling, Helen
travels the world looking for stories and new ways to share them
whilst training business leaders and organisations in the art, and
science, of storytelling. She recently spent 6 months at the largest
museum for modern art in the world, The Tate Modern in London. She is
shortly travelling to Khartoum in Sudan to speak on the subject of
storytelling at a Tedx event and she a recurring quest speaker at the
largest online radio business network, Voice America Business Network
which has over 3 million listeners a month and broadcasts to 192
countries.
The 2 day workshop is open to individuals, professionals, business
owners and organisations and takes place on the 25 and 26 February
from 9-5pm at Vertigo, County Hall. A customised one-day version of
her storytelling workshop takes place on 24 February.
