The Chief Executive of Qantas – Australia’s main Airline – has spoken in Cork.
Alan Joyce was born in Tallagh, but now lives in Sydney as one of
Australia’s highest profile businessmen.
He was the Guest Speaker at the annual Irish Diplomat Dinner, which
took place in Cork on Friday night.
More than 100 Ambassadors, Honorary Consuls and representatives
travelled from Dublin and elsewhere for the event in the SilverSprings
Moran Hotel.
Alan Joyce was presented with a new accolade called “The Spirit of
Ireland Award”
In his acceptance speech the Qantas CEO says Irish people have had
many businesses successes internationally,
especially in the Aviation industry
