The Cork Business Association says it supports the idea of inviting the
Minister responsible for flooding to visit Cork.
Earlier today Fine Gael TD Jerry Buttimer officially wrote to the Minister
of State for the OPW Simon Harris
The Government and the Office of Public Works have committed to funding a
large-scale flood alleviation and prevention scheme for the City and
surrounds, but there are concerns locally that things are moving too slowly.
Chief Executive of the Cork Business Association Laurence Owens says his
members would be delighted to show the new Minister around Cork to hammer
home the urgency of the project
