County Cork benefiting to the tune of 6-point-9 million euro from an
Equestrian event in Milstreet,
and 24-thousand bed nights have been filled in the region.
The FEI European Championships for ponies is taking place in until Sunday.
It’s taking place at the Green Glens arena and also across the road on the
grounds of Drishane Castle on a new course.
Spectators are free and welcome.
The Duggan family – famous for previously bringing the EuroVision to
Milstreet – say they have spent close to 500-thousand euro on developing
the Drishane grounds for the Championships and Thomas Duggan says the
quality of the new course is such that it will allow Ireland to attract
larger scale equestrian events from here on.
