Gardai are investigating a drive-by shooting on the northside of Cork City last night.
It happened in the Courtown Avenue area of Knocknaheeny just after 9pm.
Two men on a motorbike pulled into the cul-de-sac, and one opened fire on the victim who was a man in his early 20s standing on a footpath.
The victim received a gunshot wound to his arm and was taken to hospital by HSE Ambulance.
The incident is believed to be linked to a feud between a group of men, sources say most of those involved were “not from the area”
A man was arrested nearby and as of last night was still in Garda custody.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station.
