A religious figure who received the Freedom of the City 5-years-ago has
passed away.
Sister Eucharia Buckley of Cork and Ballinora received the Cities Highest honour in 2009 jointly “for selfless dedication to the service of others”.
She passed away on Saturday peacefully at Darraglynn Nursing Home.
Sister Eucharia had been attached to the North Presentation Convent, Gerald
Griffin Street for many years
Requiem Mass takes place at 11am this morning [Monday] in the North
Cathedral with Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully.
