The man who could be the next Tanaiste was in Cork yesterday.
Alex White is a Junior Minister at the Department of Health and is vying with Social Protection Minister Joan Burton for the Leadership of the Labour Party.
Whoever wins the internal Labour vote after the postal ballot on the 4th of July will also become Tanaiste because of the coalition agreement between Fine Gael and Labour.
Speaking to TheCork.ie Alex White said the public have had enough of “career politicians” he says as a former Journalist and Barrister he brings a lot of “life experience” which would help him as Labour Leader
Alex White also said the disastrous Local Election results for Labour indicate that the electrorate want the Party to re-evaluate its policies
