Details of a new state backed bank will be revealed later in the week.
It will offer small and medium size businesses access to 800 million euro
in low interest loans, which can be paid back over longer periods.
Business Group ISME has welcomed the news, saying it will offer hope to
enterprises which have struggled to get access to get
credit from commercial banks in recent years.
The Minister for Finance Michael Noonan was in Cork canvassing with Fine
Gael candidates yesteday.
He told TheCork.ie that state backed bank’s have been successful in Europe
