A U-S Navy Ship on a goodwill tour will remain docked in Cobh until Friday.
The US- Leyte Gulf arrived over the weekend.
The US Embassy says the port visit is designed to “strengthen maritime
partnerships” between the US and European nations
The ship is based in Norfolk, Virginia, and carries two helicopters.
While in Cobh many of the 400 crew members will visit Cork City, and some
local dignitaries will be shown around on board.
