A suspected case of animal cruelty is being investigated in County Clare.
The carcasses of nine horses, three cattle and three calves were found this
week at the foot of Baltard Cliffs in Doonbeg
The ISPCA says it appears the animals had been thrown from the cliff top.
The horses did not have microchips, and there were no tags on the cattle,
Clare County Council, the Gardaí and Department of Agriculture are
investigating
Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Simon Coveney is “extremely
concerned” about the dead animals.
