Fine Gael candidate for Ireland South, Deirdre Clune, has officially
begun her European Election campaign with a visit to Beal na mBlath
with her father, former Tanaiste and founder of Barry’s Tea, Peter
Barry.
“The next few months will be challenging but I have never shied away
from a challenge. We need strong leadership and our best people
representing us at the table in Europe. I hope to be on the ground
over the coming weeks meeting people from all parts of the
constituency. This is a critical time in Ireland’s economic and social
recovery. We need to continue to rebuild our communities and our
economy. We need to continue the focus on creating jobs and allowing
our young people the choice to work and live at home in Ireland. I am
looking forward to getting on the campaign trail”
The Euro elections take place on May 23rd, 2014.
