There are concerns that Cork City Centre is losing tourist revenue
because of a shortage
of parking spaces for coaches!
The City Council have commissioned a report into the issue after City
Centre traders
complained they were losing out on the windfall of up to 3-thousand tourists
coming from Cruise vessels in Cobh in the summer months.
Captain Michael McCarthy is Commercial Manager with the Port of Cork
and is stongly encouraging the City Council to create more parking spaces,
to “tap into” the potential tourist revenue
