Allocation of €20,000 announced by Minister Fitzgerald, to assist in
the provision of a children’s activity zone in Dunmanway – Harrington
Fine Gael TD Noel Harrington, welcomes the allocation of €20,000
announced by Minister for Children and Youth Affairs yesterday,
towards the re-location of the Dunmanway Playground to provide a
children’s activity zone.
“This allocation is a tremendous boost to the people of Dunmanway,
towards the re-location and upgrading of their playground. This
relocation is coming about as the new swimming pool is to be built on
the current location of the playground. The new children’s activity
zone will provide a state of the art play area, which I feel is vital
for the children of Dunmanway and surrounding area where they can play
and get involved in numerous activities, in a safe environment.”
“I am also delighted to hear from my colleague, Cllr. John O’Sullivan,
that there will be co-funding forthcoming from Cork County Council,
who are the architects of the new swimming pool, towards the provision
of this activity zone”.
“It is a vote of confidence by Minister Fitzgerald and Cork County
Council in the children of Dunmanway and West Cork and in their
future welfare”
